Michelle Obama is a Flat Iron Fan

Don’t you just love Michelle Obama? I think our First Lady is a real class act, and one of the most elegant things about her is her hair. It always looks so smooth and healthy! Then I found out that she doesn’t even use chemical relaxers on her locks! So what’s her secret? Ceramic flat irons! After washing, Mrs. O applies a thermal protectant to her hair to add shine and softness, blow dries with a paddle brush, then straightens. I bet I could use my trust Farouk flat iron to create the same effect, with a little practice! Michelle’s stylist swears by a ceramic iron, which is not only less damaging on the hair, it also has the capability to reach a very high temperature - a necessity for  straightening African American hair. I have an awesome ceramic Farouk flat iron that gets really hot, so I’m inspired to try out a Mrs. O style! Her hair is gorgeous!
